LO SIENTO...

Took a bit of a hiatus - been pretty busy; Capitol Hill Block Party a few weekends back, work, Summer in general and sometimes it feels nice to take a breather from my computer since I'm on it all day as it is.  I'm moving on to a new job next week, so starting tomorrow afternoon I've got a good amount of time to get back in the swing of things.

I listen to this track an embarrassing amount and still can't get enough of it.  Major Lazer performed it during CHBP.  The original lasted for all of 30 seconds and then it went into womp-womp remix mode, but it was amazing hearing it live.

Planet Blue posted this shoot last month right before the 4th of July, featuring tons of items from one of my favorite basic knit beachwear lines, Blue Life.  I've been meaning to put it up ever since it debuted 1) because Planet Blue lookbooks are the shit and 2) it's the ultimate compilation of necessary Summer staples.  The model has such an Olsen vibe to her.  Snag your own transitional summertime pieces, ideal for "taking you from the beach, to running around during the day, to a night out on the town" here.

PRAISE LOVE, PRAISE LEMONS: FOR LOVE AND LEMON'S FALL 2012 LOOKBOOK DROPS

A sucker for For Love and Lemons myself, I was pumped to see this gem make it's debut unto the online world of fashion.  

Part of what makes these lookbooks so awesome is the combo of skills behind them: Zoey Grossman lensed the collection, the blog-stalking-worthy Ashley Glorioso a.k.a purse 'n boots (her Instagram is of the same category) styled it, the infamously skilled arls of LA lady Stacey Tan (think Planet Blue, dkmkd) and blonde beauty Shanay Hall making all of the pieces even better looking than they are by their lonesome.  

And on that note - if you never saw the last FLAL's last lookbook I posted, you should.
