'SULTRY SAFARI:' KARMEN PEDARU FOR VOGUE PARIS (JULY 2012)

One of the coolest swimsuit editorials I've seen for the 2012 S/S season.  The combination of loose, crochet knits and swimwear has always been a favorite look of mine.  Pedaru glows through the lens of Hans Feurer for the July 2012 issue of Vogue Paris.

'ALL THE WILD HORSES:' KELLEY ASH FOR BONA DRAG (SUMMER 2012)

Kelley Ash (Wild at Heart blogger, model and the girl behind the Wild at Heart Vintage Shop) has quickly become a favorite of mine.  A beautiful brunette with hair reminiscent of the 60's//70's, Ash also possesses a set of piercing eyes which are enticingly nestled behind her bold bangs.  With a vintage style and American vibe, Ash resonates hippie//gypsy with a pinch of Liv Tyler.  Having always felt as if I might have been born in the wrong era myself (Kerouac's On the Road, Fonda's Easy Rider and my mom's photos (and hair//style) from the 70's make me ache for a freedom-laced, hippie movement generation) I've recently found myself so inspired by her work, look and what Wild at Heart attempts (with complete success) to manifest:

'Wild at Heart gathers its inspiration from the simple things in life...road trips in the desert, the songs of Neil Young, the possibilities of desolate second hand shops, cheap motel rooms and the Polaroids that record the journey, laying poolside with a Pabst snug in a cozy...We are a collection of gypsies although born generations too late, are drive by deep romanticism and nostalgia for the fading past...'
